With over 25 years in his career path, both in worldwide booths and music studios in his role as a producer, D-FORMATION is one of the most respected electronic music artists across the world.

From 17 years old, he won first prize at the Spanish DMC DJ championship for two consecutive years (véase vídeo), which saw his career explode, leading him remixing for Spanish multinational music companies to performing around Spain at DMC gigs.

From that moment on, his rise as a DJ and producer continued to be unstoppable, with him achieving and securing the recognition and support of the great majority of the underground industry, from Tech and Progressive House right through to Trance. In 2014 Beatport has regarded and included D-FORMATION as one of the most important artists of the last decade, along with great names who has also made history such as Deadmau5, Eric Prydz, Sasha, John Digweed, Nathan Fake, Guy Gerber or Dave Seaman (véase archivo). Also In 2014 his remix for Coca & Villa – La Noche (D-Formation Remix) was Top 1 best seller tracks in all online digital stores.

Post Image

Irish Techno Star Mark Greene is this week’s guest on BPA Live.

Witnessing the likes of The Advent & Industrialyzer, Richie Hawtin and Dave Clarke on the Dublin Techno scene led him to running his own events with friends and pursuing a diploma in Sound Engineering.

Three years later he signed his first track to Berlin-based label Berlin Aufnahmen. Each year since, Mark’s sound has developed with appearances on David Temessi’s DSR Digital, Andrea Frisina’s Gate Null Recordings and John ‘00’ Fleming’s underground label JOOF Records.

Following a spate of heavy hitting releases Mark had his first International gig…in Berlin. Since then, he has made subsequent appearances in Germany as well as Austria, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Poland and of course Ireland.

Alongside busy evenings in his small studio, Mark hosts a monthly radio show entitled ‘Progress Radio’. The show is broadcast via Syndicast.co.uk on over 32 stations worldwide from Russia to Argentina, Italy to Japan and it is also available on SoundCloud and iTunes.

Having initially being known for his harder take on Techno, Mark’s productions have moved toward a more groove-orientated approach in recent years. With original releases now signed to labels like Spektre’s Respekt Recordings, Steve Mulder’s Orange Recordings, Oscar Aguilera’s HE-ART and Hollen’s Italian imprint Prospect Records, Mark looks to be riding the crest of a wave.

Internationally acclaimed melodic techno DJ, producer, radio host and Perspectives Digital label owner Darin Epsilon, was our latest guest on BPA Live.

In 2016 he was nominated for ‘Best Progressive House Artist’ in the annual Beatport Awards, and in 2011, John Digweed named him one of the winners in his DJ Competition sponsored by Bedrock and Ableton Live.

To date, Darin has released music on many of the industry’s most respected labels including Sudbeat, Global Underground, Renaissance, Hope Recordings, microCastle, Selador, Einmusika, and Parquet Recordings. His productions have entered Beatport’s Top 100 charts numerous times and are featured in the compilations of Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Paul Oakenfold, and Max Graham.

He has collaborated with Hernan Cattaneo, Robert Babicz, Betoko, John Graham aka Quivver, Matt Lange, Matthew Dekay, Cid Inc, Omid 16B (S.O.S.), and Chris Fortier, among countless others.

As a gifted student of music from an early age, former record shop employee, and former director of a college radio station, Darin draws inspiration from his nearly encyclopedic knowledge and genuine appreciation of electronic music. He cites a variety of important influences in the past decade, from the early Leftfield and Future Sound of London albums, to the iconic Global Underground compilation series, to the sweeping sounds of Paul Oakenfold circa 1999, to Sasha & Digweed’s mind-blowing Delta Heavy tour in 2002.

If you have ever been in the audience to catch one of his live sets, it becomes immediately apparent that he is proficiently skilled as a DJ as well. His frequent flyer miles are continually on the rise with regular tours around the world. He has electrified audiences across the United States, as well as headlined dozens of countries across 6 continents.

Over the years, he has shared the spotlight with many of dance music’s superstars including Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, John Digweed, Sasha, James Zabiela, Armin van Buuren B2B Markus Schulz, Above & Beyond, BT, and countless others. He has headlined over 7 major festivals by North America’s biggest promoter, Insomniac Events, and been invited to perform at Amsterdam Dance Event, Ultra Music Festival, Burning Man, BPM Festival, and South By Southwest (SXSW). However, it would be foolish to say that his achievements have been purely confined to the club setting.

Global brands such as MTV, American DJ, American Audio, Elation Professional, and Global Truss have all called upon him to provide the soundtrack to their videos. His music can also be found in two films, placing him in a small category of producers that have ever made it onto the big screen.

With hard work, passion, pure dedication to his art, and support from the industry’s most revered names, this Chicago native turned LA transplant aims to prove that this is only the beginning to a long and promising career.
